Jacqueline Khong

Golden Gate University School of Law

Jacqueline Khong is a third year law student at Golden Gate University School of Law. She is currently a member of the Pro Bono Honor Society, International Law Society and Asian Pacific American Law Student Organization.

Jacqueline is a first-generation American. Her family moved from Vietnam and China to Texas. Jacqueline is committed to helping people in need. She believes law school has given her a mechanism to address problems arising in family court. As an volunteer, specifically, she helps victims of domestic violence. She says, "I know many survivors do not want to shed light on the abuse. However, if I can give these survivors a voice, I will. I believe that people should not live in fear and confinement. If it takes an attorney filing a restraining order for survivors of abuse to be safe, then I am on the right track by becoming a family law attorney."

SOAR for Justice is honored to award Jacqueline $500 to help with her law school expenses.
